Science Teaching in Islamic Civilization: an Analysis of Ibn Khaldun's Muqaddimah

Islamic civilization has contributed significantly to the advancement of world science. This statement is revealed from many Muslim scientists who various scientific discoveries in every field, which inspired European scientists. In addition, science developed also its uniqueness and characteristics. The number development raises a question how teaching done what kind taught. research aims reveal applied history by analyzing book Muqaddimah Ibn Khaldun. descriptive qualitative with literature review approach. results found that centered on faith Allah, not denying involving role God teaching. method stages (at-tadrij), repeating lessons (at-takrir) developing them experience experimentation (at-tajribi). strategy establishing an authoritative teacher, understanding learner's thinking readiness, emphasizing based objectives, simplifying instruction.
